Best months to fly from Salt Lake City

The cheapest months from Salt Lake City vary by destination, but a few patterns hold across the entire route map:

• Hawaii: late April through May, and the back half of September through October
• Mexico beaches: May, September, October, and the first two weeks of December
• Europe: January, February, and the first half of November
• Asia (Tokyo, Seoul): late January through February, and the first two weeks of September

Avoid Thanksgiving week, the last two weeks of December, July, and U.S. spring break (typically the second and third weeks of March). Fares on every SLC route routinely double in those windows.
